June Exhibition News
I have my first solo exhibition! An unexpected opportunity has arisen to exhibit in a wonderful gallery in The Space, 388 High Street, Rochester.
Rochester in Kent, with its cathedral, castle and quaint alleyways, is close to where I live.
The gallery is on the High Street, with lanes aptly named - Ship Lane and Hulkes Lane - opposite, offering glimpses of a Dickensian river Medway. You do feel like you are stepping back in time when you are in this old part of the city.
My exhibition will bring you smack bang into the 21st Century, with a blast of contemporary colour, featuring bold prints and vivid abstracts, including ‘Tropical Green Banana’, ‘Violet Moon’ and ‘Neon Pink Skull’.
Also on offer are my quiet landscapes, including ‘Pebbles in the Wind’, a close-up view of Camber beach and, ‘Neptune to Reculver’, a moody seascape taken at Herne Bay in black and white.
I decided to call my exhibition, C’est Moi!’, as it represents an eclectic mix of Fine Art and Pop Art from landscape to portraits in dazzling colour and dramatic black and white.
I’d like to offer my art to all, so have Limited Edition Museum Quality framed Fine Art prints, alongside premium quality photographic prints as well as affordable greeting cards that can be framed.
On display also, I have my bespoke brushed aluminum prints. These products are by commission only and are not available through my website.
The exhibition will showcase my fabulous brushed aluminum, ‘Medway Pigeon’. A pigeon captured in flight at Sun Pier and given a Pop Art treatment. With sunflower yellow sky and cobalt blue water it echoes the colours of the Ukraine flag. I have renamed this picture, ‘Flight’. It will be exhibited in Rochester Cathedral from June 18th, before being auctioned off on 24th June in a BBC recorded event to raise funds for Ukraine refugees.
The exhibition runs from 3-29th June.
